Long-Term Borehole Monitoring System: Continuous Data
The Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) has been conducting drilling expeditions for the IODP Nankai Trough Seismogenic Zone Experiment (NanTroSEIZE). As part of this experiment, Long-term borehole monitoring system (LTBMS) were installed in December 2010 at approximately 780–980 m depth in a borehole drilled to approximately 1000 m beneath the seafloor off the Kii Peninsula (ocean depth 1938 m) by the Deep Sea Drilling Vessel Chikyu. LTBMS has
Monitoring data from the borehole is continuously received by DONET and this site allows researchers to download long term borehole monitoring data received by DONET from the off of the Kii Peninsula Site C0002 in near real time.
